TOURBUS

See where 160,000+ artists perform across Europe

Explore venue and artist data across the European live music sector

Built on postdoctoral research at Lund University

The Pilot Program

We are preparing our first pilot program with music organisations in Denmark. Sign up to our mailing list to hear when we open applications for artists and venues.

The pilot will test how performance data can help artists find suitable venues and plan more informed tours across Europe.

The Tourbus Dashboard

The Tourbus dashboard gives access to our live dataset. Search artists, venues, and ensembles across Europe, and explore how musicians move between countries and circuits.

It is currently in active development and available for testing. Researchers, music organisations, and export offices interested in trying it are welcome to get in touch at info@tourbus.ai to request access.

What Tourbus Does

Venue Intelligence

Tourbus collects data on where concerts happen across Europe, sourced from artist websites, venue pages, and event listings. For each venue, you can see which artists have performed there, how often, and alongside whom, based on records of actual activity.

Performance History

Search any artist in our dataset and see where they have performed, in which countries, and who they have shared stages with, based on real performance data, not self-reported profiles. The goal is to make visible the touring patterns that already exist, and help artists and organisations see where they fit within them.

Network Analysis

Tourbus maps how artists move between venues, cities, and countries over time. You can see which circuits exist, how communities cluster by genre or geography, and where the connections between markets are stronger or weaker. This is the core of what the platform does.

About Tourbus

Tourbus is a data platform for the European live music sector. We collect and analyse performance data to make visible how artists tour across countries, venues, and circuits.

Tourbus is a project by Dr. Brandon Farnsworth, developed based on postdoctoral research at Lund University into artist mobility and the structure of European touring networks.
